ALE Delft is currently looking for a Weight Engineer Superyachts. In this challenging function you will be responsible for the weight monitoring of various superyacht projects. During construction and outfitting, the weight and center of gravity are monitored closely as they are essential for the overall stability and performance of these ships. You will inspect the status on board on a regular basis and report the current and expected final weight of the yacht. Besides safeguarding these characteristics, you will actively look for potential improvements of the construction of the vessel and the procedures at the yard.
This job requires a healthy dose of technical insight, a precise way of working and strong communicational skills in both Dutch and English, as coordinating between the yards and subcontractors is a significant part of the job.
Bsc/Msc degree in Mechanical, Maritime or Aerospace Engineering.
Experience in shipbuilding is preferred but not required. This function is very well suited for starters.
