AkzoNobel serves four significant end-user segments. For Buildings & Infrastructure we supply products for construction, decoration, protection, renovation and maintenance, including iconic structures such as World Cup and Olympic arenas. In the Netherlands, our paint systems have been applied to important buildings such as the Rijksmuseum and Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, the railway station in Rotterdam and the Binnenhof in The Hague. In terms of Transportation our coatings and chemicals provide protection and aesthetics for leading automotive brands and countless airplanes, ships and trains. We are also integral to parts manufacturing and assembly. Across the Consumer segment our specialty chemicals are key functional and aesthetic ingredients for millions of items including electronics, digital devices, furniture, domestic appliances, food and beverage, personal care and cleaning. For Industry we supply core products for oil and gas, metals and mining, electricity/utilities, agriculture, chemical manufacturing and pulp and paper.
